DELIVERY POLICY
Island Cocoa (Private) Limited
1. Overview
Island Cocoa currently delivers within Sri Lanka. We reserve the right to expand delivery coverage in the future.
2. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated based on:
• Delivery location; and
• Order weight and size.
Applicable charges will be displayed at checkout before payment confirmation.
3. Order Processing & Cut-Off Times
Orders placed:
- Monday to Friday before 3:00 p.m. – Eligible for next working day delivery (before 8:00 p.m.), subject to courier availability.
- Saturday before 12:00 noon – Processed accordingly.
- After the applicable cut-off time – Delivered within 48 working hours.
Deliveries are not carried out on:
- Sundays
- Public holidays
All delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed.
4. Delivery Coverage
Delivery is currently available in selected areas including but not limited to:
- Colombo 1–15
- Dehiwala
- Mount Lavinia
- Kohuwala
- Nugegoda
- Rajagiriya
- Kotte
- Nawala
- Battaramulla
- Kalubowila
- Nedimala
Full list of Delivery coverage cities can be viewed on the Delivery Coverage Page. Coverage areas may be expanded or revised at our discretion.
5. Delivery Procedure
Customers must:
- Provide accurate delivery information;
- Ensure availability at the delivery address;
- Remain reachable via the contact number provided at checkout.
If delivery fails due to:
- Incorrect address;
- Unanswered calls;
- Recipient unavailability;
Island Cocoa may reschedule delivery. Additional delivery charges may apply.
6. Identification
Island Cocoa reserves the right to request reasonable identification at the point of delivery where necessary.
7. Inspection at Delivery
Customers must inspect products upon receipt.
Any visible damage or discrepancy must be reported immediately in accordance with the Returns & Refund Policy.
8. Delays Beyond Control
Island Cocoa engages independent third-party courier and logistics providers to fulfil deliveries.
While we endeavour to ensure timely dispatch and delivery, Island Cocoa shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by third-party carriers or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Adverse weather conditions;
- Civil unrest or public disturbances;
- Government restrictions or regulatory actions;
- Transportation disruptions;
- Public health emergencies;
- Force majeure events.
All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
9. Temperature-Sensitive Products
As certain cocoa products may be sensitive to heat, customers are responsible for ensuring prompt receipt and proper storage upon delivery.
Island Cocoa is not responsible for deterioration due to delayed collection or improper storage after delivery.
